1. The author's main question is whether or not something should be read with a theoretical or spontaneous outlook.
2. He utilizes quotes from musicians, their lyrics and songs, and events that support his argument.
3. The majority of people in life work hard to establish an authenticity. I know many young adults that create their own music or looks in order to stand out. Pretty much anyone that has discovered a true sense of self can claim that they have developed authenticity for themselves.
